Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Mother Teresa celebrates her 100th birthday on 26 August!

Blessed Mother Teresa was an Albanian nun who went to India to teach the children there. She saw many poor and sick people on the streets there. Feeling Jesus calling her to help them, she started an order called the Missionaries of Charity. Mother Teresa loved the poor people because she saw Jesus in them. Today, her nuns reach out to needy families all over the world. Mother Teresa is not canonized as a saint yet. That is why she is called a ‘Blessed’. Visit the Happy Saints store.

  4. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, please pray for those who care about and serve the poorest of God's poor that God may bless them abundantly, and the poorest of the poor that they may be freed from poverty!
