St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina (1887 – 1968)
Padre Pio was a Capuchin Priest from Italy. He was a very holy man with many spiritual gifts such as the ability to read souls, to heal and to appear in two places at the same time. He also received the Stigmata, which means he suffered the same wounds as Jesus did on the cross. He heard confessions for long hours and converted many sinners. He also built a hospital near his monastery. His feastday is on 23 September. Visit the Happy Saints store.
