St. Andrew was the brother of St. Peter and they were both fishermen. When St. Andrew first saw Jesus, he followed Him to His house and listened to Him. Then St. Andrew quickly introduced Jesus to his brother St. Peter, saying 'We have found the Messiah!'. After the Resurrection of Jesus, St. Andrew went to preach in the Eastern Roman Empire. The Romans wanted him dead and he requested to be crucified on an x-shaped cross, deeming himself unworthy to die on the same type of cross as Jesus did. St. Andrew's feast day is on 30 November.
